I have also provided some links to information on other websites. Some of the photos have been optimised, cropped or rotated to display them better. For anyone that is interested the camera used is a Panasonic model DMC-FZ8 7 Million Pixel with a 12x Optical Zoom Lens.
Written during the stay on my Compaq Ipaq 3870 Pocket PC using the built in "Pocket Word" application and transferred to my home PC and converted to HTML format, on return home.

All information in this "Holiday Report" should be taken as a guide only and its accuracy cannot be guaranteed. I compile my reports as a service to visitors to my website who may have a Holiday booked in the future at any of the resorts or accommodation listed. I welcome any feedback or comments you wish to make or any questions about any of the information or establishments featured in the reports.
My "Report" writing has become a bit of a ritual now, after I wrote a smaller but similar "report" when we visited Menorca in the year 2000 and the feedback I got from that was very encouraging. Some people have their books to read (The wife!), I have my Pocket PC!! If it helps one person in finding info' on their holiday resort, then it's been worthwhile.
Holiday Summary
I did not write a full report during this visit as I think I covered most things in my 2006 report, therefore this is just a summary of the holiday based on memory!
We broke the habit of a lifetime in September 2007 and returned for a second time to the beautiful Greek island of Thassos. As a general rule we prefer to visit somewhere new every year instead.
We had such a lovely time when we first visited it in 2006 and made some great friends (Hi Katrin and Rigas!) that we just had to return to the relaxation paradise that is Thassos.
We returned to the same resort (Thassos Town) and the same Studios (Finikas).
It was like we'd never been away! We flew from Birmingham this time instead of Gatwick as it was closer to our home town.
We once again booked with Portland Holidays (Part of the Thomson TUI Group) and flew with "Thomsonfly" again who were superb in every respect the last time we traveled with them. This time was no exception and every aspect of the holiday was handled in a thoroughly professional and courteous way and we were well looked after by Cabin Crew and the Resort Representatives. Our rep's this time were Katie and Sam who were just as helpful and friendly as Lizzy had been on our previous visit.
At the Finikas studios we were once again greeted by Vaso, who remembered us from our previous holiday. There were not as many staying in the apartments as this was the last week of the season in Thassos, but at least five of the 10 rooms were occupied even this late into the season. Unfortunately the room we were in this time was on the first floor close to a fruit tree which attracted a lot of wasps to the building, so we were unable to sit out on the balcony as much as we'd like.
I bought a new Digital camera during 2007 (Panasonic model DMC-FZ8S) which I took to Thassos this time. It's a 7 million pixel camera with a 12 x Optical Zoom, which produced some great photos. I have added a selection of them to the gallery page.

We went out for dinner every evening as we always do, choosing this time to only visit our favourite Restaurant "Thassian" run by Rigas and Katrin. We went there every night and the food and atmosphere were superb as ever! The restaurant was very busy every night, partly due to not so many places being open at this of year, but mainly due to the warm welcome, great food and ambience provided by Rigas and Katrin.
I urge you to visit this restaurant yourselves if you ever happen to be in Thassos Town. You will not be disappointed!! Say hello to Rigas and Katrin for us! Efharisto (Thank you in Greek). I love this restaurant so much that in March 2008 I decided to build them their own website! Luckily, Katrin and Rigas were as pleased with the result as much as I was....Visit their website here
We had a very relaxing week, just chilling out and going for walks around the resort.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time again in Thassos and it is highly likely we would return there again in the future.
